Notice contents

1. Provide a physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorized agent.
2. Identify the copyrighted work, or provide a representative list for multiple works.
3. Identify the allegedly infringing material and its precise URL location.
4. Provide the claimant’s name and reliable postal, telephone, and email contact details.
5. State a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law.
6. State under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the signer owns the right or is authorized to act.

Missing information may delay review. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may carry legal consequences.

Counter-notification

A provider who believes material was removed through mistake or misidentification may prepare a signed counter-notification identifying the material and former location, giving complete contact information, stating under penalty of perjury a good-faith belief in the mistake, and including jurisdiction and service-of-process consents required by law.

A sufficient counter-notification may be forwarded to the claimant. Restoration may occur after the statutory period unless the claimant reports filing an action seeking a court order.

Repeat infringement

Access associated with repeat infringement may be restricted or terminated in appropriate circumstances. Material may also be disabled when a substantiated complaint or legal duty supports action.

Local form limitation

The Report Content and Contact Us forms cannot deliver a notice or preserve a deadline. Aggregate outcomes appear in the Transparency Report.
